5 Minute Push ups Workout To Tone Upper Body

In today’s busy world, it is really hard to make time for gym. While we can make a habit of waking up around 5:00 in the morning, not many gyms open up at that time here in Karachi and by the time they do open, it’s either time to go to work,  drop the kids to school or attend one. It is, however easier to go to the gym in the evenings for students but what about a working man? Not everyone lives a 9 to 5 lifestyle. And even if many do,  most are pretty tired by the time they get home, thanks in-part to the traffic of Karachi. But whatever the case is with you, I am sure that you can manage to squeeze a 5 minute workout in your daily routine. Let me tell you about 4 push ups that can give you an upper body workout in just 5 minutes a day.

Assuming that you have a idea of how a push up is performed, I am not going to go into details like the stance and all but directly to the routine. Here it is.

Start with a wide grip push up, do just one rep and take at least 4 seconds to perform a rep. Ready your stance, go down, wait 2 seconds and then back up.

For the second rep, do a normal push up. Again take at least 4 seconds to perform the rep.

Third, do a diamond push up. This is a tricky one and requires a lot of practice as it directly applies pressure to shoulders and chest. Don’t forget the 4 seconds while performing the rep.

Lastly do a pike press also known as pike push up.

Then you re-position yourself for the first one, wide pushup, and repeat the the complete 4 push ups cycle. With these four push-ups you can shape and tone your shoulders, chest and triceps.

As easy as it may sound, it is going to take a lot of effort to perform a five minute workout, especially if you have not been working out regularly or have absolutely no exercise in your daily routine. But do not be discouraged if you are unable to do it. It will take time but you will get the hang of it eventually. Results start to show in a month’s time guaranteed.
